The setting sun was casting a beautiful selection of colours over the Hogwart’s grounds and lake. It was at that stage in the evening when night had just started to fall, but darkness hadn’t yet been able to stifle the little light still left. The twilight had a cold, but not bitter feel to it, and there was a true feeling in the air that spring was coming. The sun brought a warm feeling, with it’s many colours scorching the unfathomable cerulean sky, a deep blood red, and, reflecting the tones in the sky was Hogwart’s lake, which now hosted an inviting, shimmering crimson glow. The large, protective, willow tree that Autumn had chosen to sit under was almost a small sanctuary to her, where she could sit in peace and observe the sunset.
Autumn was resting against the trunk of the willow tree; one leg was bent, the other curled underneath it, and on her lap, resting on her leg, was her sketchpad. Autumn carried the A3 sketchpad with her almost everywhere she went, in case, like now she was presented with an opportunity to draw something. Autumn adored drawing; it was like a way of displaying your memories in a way more artistic and impressive way than words. Autumn liked the way that when drawing you had a completely free rein of what you wanted to do, the way you wanted the picture to look, and the fact that no two paintings were ever the same. Whether it was the exact tone of orange here, or the wrinkle the man’s face there, every moment was different and Auty loved to be able to recreate as many as possible on paper.
Today hadn’t been particularly interesting, she’d sent a letter to Destiny this morning, and then marked a couple of homework assignments, which had led up to lunch. hadn’t spoken to many of the professor yet, seeing as it was just her first week, and it already seemed like many friendships were there already. To Ms. Rose the professor’s seemed to be sorted into groups, the ones who had been teaching since she was at school, and then the others. The Gryffindor recognised a few of the faces in the other teachers, Adam and Peter, two boys who had been in Ravenclaw and a couple of years below her and Oliver Wood, who had been the Gryffindor Quidditch Team Captain for a couple of years before he’d left. However, Autumn had never said a word to Oliver and since returning to Hogwarts, she hadn’t spoken to Casey or Heather or Sabrina and anyone else either, not that they had been close at school or anything like that.
Autumn Dahlia Rose picked up one of the chalk pastels next to her and shaded in one of the areas of her drawing. had been sketching the sunset, and willow branches for the past half hour, it was looking good and finally starting to come together now she had started adding some colour. The Gryffindor Girl was only planning on staying outside until she had finished this picture, it was starting to get chilly, and she had neglected to wear her witch’s robes over her muggle outfit.

Starla Collins has, what her grandmother calls, movie star hair. No matter what the weather is like, how many times she ice skates, or how many times she climbs a tree and falls out of it, Maggie’s hair looks good. Whether it’s up in a small ponytail, down and curly, or flying everywhere, it keeps its shine.
It isn’t surprising that Starla isn't hair freak because the only exetreme thing she does is curl it. Her favorite thing about her body is her eyes. They are a soft, dark brown that change shades depending on her mood. They are darker when she is in the happiest of moods, and more lighter when she is cold, angry, or sad. Since she had turned 13 Starla lined her eyes with dark eyeliner, allowing for her eyes to stick out amongst her curly or wavy hair. She has kept to this tradition and the eyeliner is the only sort of make up she will wear unless the occasion calls for more. Another favorite part of Starla’s is her lips, which are full and soft. She also likes her lips because they make her nose seem smaller than it is. Starla is not a vain girl, but she can’t help but stare at her nose whenever she is in front of mirror and just wish that it would shrink. She asked her mother for nose surgery, but she was quickly denied.
Starla has been very athletic since she could crawl. Her mother had a hard time keeping up with her around the house, which often lead to a long game of hide and seek, and to Starla chewing on a chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookie. She remained athletic as she grew older, taking to ice skating and track. Both were her favorite sports, but in the end she decided she liked drawing more than running. It took her a two years, but Starla got the hang of the pencil and grew to be a very skilled artist. . She isn’t too tall, standing at only 5’6” ,(the family doctor doesn’t think she’ll grow any taller as she ages) and because of her short torso and long legs Starla can still run pretty fast. Her legs used to have a lot of muscle to them, but since focusing on drawing the extra muscle just settled, and became a little less toned. Her arms, however, were never too strong. Although Miss Blake doesn’t run anymore she is still relatively skinny from her track days. She lost her eternal hunger around 14, which was good since her metabolism started to slow.
Clothing Style
Though a majority of Starla’s qualities are that of Teri’s, she strays from what her mother dressed like. She can often be found in preppier looking clothes which were purchased from Abercrombie, Hollister, or American Eagle. Now and then she’ll venture off to Buckle though it is very rare she’ll be seen in any type of punk clothing. Starla is aware of how to accessorize and usually has something that goes along with her outfit well, generally a fancy purse or so. Though she likes the expensive clothing style, Starla generally goes for comfort first, wearing what is nice to sit in rather than what’s nice to look at. Seeing as Starla’s got plenty of money, she’ll often take expensive trips off to Louis Vattan or Coach and buy herself what goes along with her outfits. She has a variety of shoes, ranging in all colors and styles in which she takes pride in. While she tends to dress more preppier, these days Starla's showing off her skating side by wearing converses, adios, and representing skating stores and whatnot.
Personality
Starla is an average teenage girl with a dorky side. Some say she’s weird, off the wall, a little hyper, but all in all she really just is very out going. She isn’t shy, and while she doesn’t seek out to be the center of attention she doesn’t hide behind her pen and paper, or bury her nose in books. Instead her head is held high that way she can see where she’s going while brushing up on her history. Whenever there is someone new she introduces herself immediately and with a big smile, and she’s not afraid to laugh at herself is she does something embarrassing.
There is another side to Starla , of course, one that is very down to earth and puts her school work before any sort of fun can be had. She can never just put her homework aside. A little ticking sounds in her brain, harassing her until she finishes her work. On some occasions she has been able to ignore this sound, especially when it has been a stressful week in classes. She tends to have the worst time in Math. Centuries ago, when her family was starting out, her great great great grandfather of sorts killed his uncle’s cook and ran off. Maggie believes that the cook cursed her ancestor before he died, making it impossible for her to figure out problems [math] properly and make a successful answerl of any kind. It’s a nuisance, but Starla has finally come to turns with her inability to do math. While she knows she can’t do the problems, Starla has never once quit. Starla loves drawing. Anytime she finds herself stressed out over school work, or annoyed with the fact that she botched another math problem, she carries herself down to the ice skating arena and practices. She started out wobbling on the skates, barely managing to stand up, but now she can skate on the ice with the greatest of ease.
One of the things Starla wishes she could change her mouth when she gets pissed... it tends to bitch alot. She spends her nights studying as many things that are in her text books. When it comes time to practice them in the classroom Starla can perform them with no problem. It bothers her that she could never actually use them in a dangerous situation. She only knows this because whenever a dangerous situation arises Starla freezes. When she was nine there was a shooting further down the street from where she had been walking. While she was not in any real danger, Starla had been unable to protect herself. She simply stopped walking and stared at the ground in front of her as a few shots went off. Even though that had been six years ago Starla doesn’t doubt that she would do the same thing in the again. She often finds herself daydreaming about situations that would never happen. When it comes to mournful situations Starla is never at a loss for words. She has never personally experienced a great loss, and can never really figure out what to say to those who have. Words, she feels, do not express enough sorrow. While some people of her nature usually crack jokes to ease the pain, she can only react with silence, regretful eyes, and a caring touch. Occasionally she’ll go out on a limb and try and look on the bright side of things, but usually she keeps these thoughts to herself. But through thick and thin Starla will stand by her friends until they can finally stand on their own.

Overall Flaws
As a child, Starla was one of those kids who went around showing people all of her cool scars. To be perfectly honest, none of them were really all that cool but she liked to tell herself that they were. Despite the numerous bruises, Starla manages to look fairly beautiful today. A large scar runs from the back of her hip to about mid-back where Starla was injured as a young child. In her horseback riding days, she had taken a nasty spill after moving through a creek which had spooked her horse. Starla had refrained from breaking any bones but had landed on a nasty pile of rocks which had led to her receiving stitches, eventually leaving the scar. Even as today, Starla was often one to get in fights in her younger years. Even though Starla more often than not put up a good fight, she still bares a small scar on her right wrist where another classmate had scraped up her arm pretty bad.

P.O.B

History:
Starla Dahlia Collins was born on a chilly February night in Big Sur, California, USA. She was the second a of Lucinda and Seth McFarland. It hadn’t been too difficult for Starla and her two sisiters to grow up in their split home. They had a high class father to teach them the ways of that society, the proper way to dress and act when they were out in public; while their mother taught them the little tricks about the midde class society. Cecilia wasn’t able to join in many of the games, to be more exact, she didn’t want to because of her jealousy. But Starla tried her best to be friends with Cecilia. While she and Paisley were similar because of their similiar personalities, Starla felt closer to Cecilia because their age difference was smaller.
Seth and Lucinda had become fast friends when they met in San Francisco a few years before their marriage. Lucinda, like some middle - class towards higher class, kept her statues a secret until after the wedding. Seth had not taken the surprise very well, but when it was discovered that Lucinda was pregnant Seth stepped up to the plate and played the father. He had always shaken his head when it came to starnge things, but he always grit his teeth and bore it, like at Lucinda’s father’s funeral which was attended by many strange people. He was delighted when Cecilia was born because you could say that Cecilia was the more normal child of the family.
For two years the couple fought day and night, Lucinda trying to keep their marriage together for the girls, and Seth trying to separate from her. He had moved out after a year of arguments, and was living with a cousin in Santa Cruz. Eventually, the couple gave up and went their separate ways. Starla, of course, felt that it was her fault for the separation and ran away. She only made it to the end of the street before a neighbor picked her up. All through the custody battle Starla and Cecilia bickered, both of them blaming each other for what was happening, but it didn’t matter since they were separated from each other soon after the hearing. Lucinda took Paisley and Starla, and Seth took Cecilia. The judge had shown his disapproval of the split, but both parents had already agreed on who got which child.
Within a couple months Lucinda, Martha, and Starla packed up all their things and left for England to live with Lucinda’s mother. Grandpa Haggleburg had made it big in the Goverment, and left behind a nice amount for Grandma to spend on her grandchildren. He had also left her a nice size house which allowed for the four of them to live comfortably. Paisley continued her education at High School, and Starla attended the local elemerty school. Her first couple of years had been lonely ones. She never really got up the nerve to talk to her fellow students, afraid they would make fun of her accent, or her nose. But when she was seven another girl in her grade shared a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with Starla when she had left her lunch at home. Of course, she hadn’t really forgotten her lunch. She had accidentally super glued it to the ceiling when she was thinking about how the divorce had all been Cecilia’s fault.
The girl’s name was Rose, and she was new to the school. The two became fast friends, and Rose had a great impact on Starla’s life. Rose had never been a quiet one and helped Starla break out of her shell. Because of Rose Starla grew to be very outgoing, and very active. Instead of moping about the house when Paisley went away to camp Starla took up running back and forth in the back yard, seeing how fast she could go, if she could beat her last time. Then she was eight Starla joined the elemertary school ice skating team which kept her busy. But her favorite age is when she turned eleven. She waited in great excitement for her letter to see if she got accepted to Virgina Prep, just like her sister had also waited to see if her little sister made it. When the letterl had arrived Starla forgot to actually grab the letter and just ran around the house screaming in excitement. Her grandmother managed to calm her down with a cookie.
