mister sunshine
7:32 pm; sunday, september 16
mood: sleepy
listening to: nothing left to lose mat kearney
Well, today was filled with terrible uneventfulness - like any other Sunday in the Stone household. I slept in until what... Noon? One? Yeah; late enough for my dad to yell at me for missing lunch. Which was pretty interesting, because it's not like lunch is usually ever a big deal. I love it when he goes on with the "lazy, good-for-nothing" spiel because it makes me want to sleep in even longer. I ate and let him blow off some steam. Chef cooked up some pretty good salmon; but I didn't eat much. As of late, my appetite has fallen to an almost standstill.
So then I went upstairs and pretended to practice my violin. It's only fun when I'm not forced to do it. I just sat on the roof and smoked a few cigarettes to kill the time. Man, what things to watch! The old cougar behind us wears a thong bathing suit; next door the guy mows his lawn and throws the stray rocks into his neighbor's backyard; and another dude is totally screwing the UPS lady. It was pretty amusing, to say the least; and I got a little sun. However, smoking is not doing my stomach any favors. I may have to quit soon; but I don't want to.
So then our yard-people came and I hopped down to chat it up with Jose, who knows very little English, but is very funny. He steals lawn ornaments and sells them on e-Bay. And he has the best coke. I think he's gay. Jose is great. So, after pretending to be like Paris Hilton, dad came out and yelled at me for keeping the help from doing their job. I slipped Jose a hundred and went inside.
Then after that I crashed on the couch and watched MTV and slept. Pretty freaking amazing. I had my tennis lesson later on; but I was pretty wheezy the whole time. I told him I was getting a cold and we ended early. After that I didn't feel too hot, so I went up to my room and skipped dinner. Luckily dad ate in his office, so I was off the hook. After drifted in and out of a semi-concious haze, I pulled out my lap-top out of sheer boredom and played "Snake" for the next hour. I love that game.
So, that's about all that happened today. Glamorous, neh?
