Skylar Devon Huntington
Behind The Mask Your Name/Alias: Kris Years Roleplaying: Way too many, about four. Joining Password: *admin edit* How did you find us?: I'm the Admin. Sample Post: "Don't touch it!" Aggression showed in both his eyes and his voice, an arm raised to cover the wound, flinching lightly as the material of his shirt brushed up against his cheek. His fingers traveled across the tender surface, the bruised skin giving way to the pressure he applied. The wound was still bleeding pretty heavily, but due to his own anger issues, he hadn't allowed the redheaded figure approach him. The girl continued to pace around the room, ever so often sneaking a glance in his direction. Her movements only made him angrier, causing his muscles to tense. An exasperated sigh escaped his lips, and he settled himself into a wooden chair nestled in the corner of the basement. How had it gotten to this? Even Skylar didn't know why he went every few days, he hadn't a clue to why he felt the need to beat another to ground, or vice versa. It was as if it was already living inside him, a single drug lurking in his veins, controlling his every move and thought. A drug is what it is, or what it was... The only thing he knew for a fact, was that it had to stop.
"You can't keep doing this..." Her words shattered the silence, his eyes reverting in her direction, staring her down. His body wanted to shake the sense in her, rid all that innocence that radiated from her figure. It was as if she was taunting him, provoking him to just spring an attack on her. What she didn't know, was that he wasn't like that, not with her, or any girl matter of fact. It was the guys that bothered him the most, they pushed his innermost buttons, causing him to lash out. Skylar's gaze softened as he looked at her, a sadness overcoming him as he wondered just what she thought of him. It definitely wasn't fair to push the burden on her, not now, not ever. Nikole had always been one to look out for him, and watching her twin brother fight it out for no reason without doing anything about it was surely against her own rules. "I can keep doing this, Nikky," He paused, taking a glimpse up at her, but forcing his eyes to focus on the floor. "What am I supposed to do?" Skylar shifted in the chair, growing frustrated, and standing. Placing a hand on the back side of the wooden seat, he shoved it harshly to the side. The item hit the wall, rocked helplessly for a moment, and then tipped onto its side. Nikole had jumped at the force of the blow, a faint shimmer of fear glinting in her green eyes. Just as she was about to speak, he pressed an angry finger to her lips, a wave of wrath coursing through his frame.
Nikole had never been one to back down from anything, and was definitely the type of girl who would fight back. He could feel her figure brace against him, and then waver for a moment, but she stood strong. Her hands traveled to his shoulder, and remained there, despite him trying to swat her away. Giving him a harsh shove, she sent him toward the wall, her own anger rising. Skylar could see it in her, the want to just wipe any idea out of his mind. His sister disliked him for fighting, and one thing he'd learned over the course of seventeen long years, was that Nikole always got what she wanted. Now she was toying with him, searching for the correct buttons to push to get him going. As she moved closer, he kept himself still, running over all the possibilities in his mind. How could he escape her now knowing? She'd definitely bring it up with their parents, not that they were ever home when the kids were home, but still, it was a possibility. Skylar needed to fight, or the anger built inside would continue to grow, and eventually explode into unknown proportions. He had to fight, he had too many debts to repay, and then he promised himself he'd get out of it. After all, that's why he'd gotten into this mess in the first place, right?
The whole thing had started out as being just a thing to get money, he had to repay his father's debts. Honestly, it was too long of a story to begin here, but the situation eventually developed into a way to release his anger, but not in a positive way. Nikole knew it from the beginning, sure, she disliked it and hated him for it, but she wanted their father out of that mess too. At the thought of it all, Skylar's fingers still clutched around the piece of paper, figuring it wasn't the best time to bring it up with his sister. He'd found a way to get all the money in one deal, only one more fight and they'd be free. "I found out how we can get the money Nikky," He whispered, his grip tightening around the folded slip of paper. Her stance was telling him that she was somewhat relieved to hear him say that, but what would she feel when he told her it still revolved around fighting? "One more fight... They offered me twenty grand, Nikky! Twenty!" He said hopefully, waving the piece of paper in front of her face, a pleading look overcoming his features. Instead of somewhat going along with it, she raised a hand, slapping him clear across the face. "It's not about the money anymore, Skylar! It's about you! You come home every goddamn night and you're hurt! Have you ever thought about what might happen if it went beyond being hurt? Sky, what if you were killed?" He was taken aback by her words, a knot forming in his throat. He lunged toward her, and for a split second he was about to lose his complexion, but regained himself, and took a couple wary steps backward. Raising both hands above his head in a surrender-like gesture, he turned around, making his way up the stairs. It wasn't about the money anymore, he realized. It wasn't about the anger release, because he actually grew even more angry after a match. As he proceeded up the stairs, he realized what it was; He just loved to fight.
Back To The BASICS Full Name: Skylar Devon Huntington Nicknames: Sky, Dev, or Hunter, but most people prefer to call him Skylar. Age: 17 D.O.B: September 11. Gender: Male. Grade: Senior Original Appearance: Skylar moved here in his Freshman year.
It's All About YOU Celebrity Portrayal: Sean Faris. Physical Appearance: Skylar is relatively an average height for guys his age, and is content with how tall he is. He isn't too tall, and he isn't too short, he's about right in the middle. Standing at exactly five feet eleven inches, you can definitely see he's not exactly the largest guy of the bunch. Compared to the rest of his family, he's pretty tall, but his sister on the other hand is only a couple inches shorter than he. As a kid he often complained about not being proportioned, meaning he was a little taller than every other kid, and was tremendously thin. Doctors often thought he had serious medical problems, but in reality he was fine, or so he seemed. Skylar grew taller as he grew older, but eventually all the older boys caught up with him.
As far as weight goes, he's always been pretty thin his entire life. Playing sports has kept him skinny, muscular, and has allowed his body to fill out a bit. He weighs around one hundred fifty pounds, and isn't expected to gain much more. The Huntington family has always been relatively small, especially the girls, but like every other family the guys are affected as well. Skylar was lucky to have earned the chance to be athletic, and is often seen keeping up with his activities. He spends early mornings in their home gym, which has made his figure bulge in all the right places. He doesn't overdue it however, and is always conscious about what he's taking in. You might call Sky 'self-conscious', which would sum him up perfectly. He cares about his body and health, which is something not a lot of people do.
Sky has dark brown hair, normally always curling in gentle waves around his ears. The locks have a silky texture, and naturally flow through your fingers. It's easily manipulated, which is why he is often seen sporting many different styles within a week. He likes playing around with his appearance, especially with his hair. If there's one thing he rarely does is cut his hair. Sure, he trims it neatly every couple weeks, but won't dare cut more than an inch. He's a fan of letting it go naturally, so won't bother even brushing it in the morning, and lets it give off a messy yet sexy look. Another look he sports often, is lightly spiking it in certain directions, which once again gives it more of a tousled look. If he feels he needs to make a better impression however, he'll make sure it's even and completely flat.
His skin is mildly tan from being outside eighty percent of the day. But like previously stated, he takes good care of himself, which gives him an even more attractive aura. Skylar has very few scars, but every one that he does have has a specific story. Take the one on his chin for example; he made the mistake of jumping down from the top bunk of a bunk bed set, and caught his chin on the corner of the desk. He had to get stitches, so when he smiles a true smile, a single dimple forms from where the scar is. He's pretty careful about things, and takes special precautions when it comes to things that might get him into trouble. Yet, he's a kid, mistakes happen, right?
Skylar has deep chocolate colored eyes, which on most days are warm and welcoming. His eyes tell a lot about how he's feeling that day toward the world, and he's not afraid to show them off a bit. He likes his eyes, and isn't afraid to look another in the eye. They're very expressive, and even if he doesn't want to show something, it always seems to come through with his eyes. He doesn't consider them his best trait, because he believes they're pretty bland and boring, but it's a trait he's pretty proud of. Others tend to take a liking to them, and feel comfortable making eye contact. For some reason, they leave people at ease.
He's not really been a fan of tattoos and piercings, but he's got a few, which you might think is against his own rules, but in reality it's not. At one point in time he had an ear pierced, but eventually grew out of the phase, and let it heal up. Sky's been considering getting it pierced again, but is still unsure of whether he really wants it. He figures he'd have to have a good reason to get it done, and at this moment he really has no motive. The same goes for tattoos, he doesn't have one, but he's definitely considered getting one. Skylar has always thought of them as pretty vulgar, and he's always been a pretty neat and tidy kind of guy. So, don't expect to see him dressing his body with ink anytime soon. Clothing Style: Skylar is a fan of preppy clothing, and finds it to be the most comfortable of anything. Sure, you might see him in a pair of flannel pajamas, but only if he plans on staying in for the day. When he's out and about he'll be wearing brand name clothes, especially American Eagle, and Hollister. Their clothing fits him well, and he believes they show off his most attractive qualities. As far as specific clothing goes, he likes t-shirts, and jeans; the most comfortable apparel. He tends to stick to sneakers on most days, but if it's warm and he doesn't plan on doing anything excessive, he'll wear sandals. Sky will dress up if he needs to, or actually wants to. He's good at cleaning up, and looks good doing so. Personality: Skylar is probably one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet, and is like that just about every day when he's with people, girls in particular. He'll go out of his way for a girl, but won't to the point where she's using him. He likes for someone to return the favor, and doesn't fancy people taking advantage of him. He's known for taking a girl on a nice date once he really gets to know what she's like. He likes to impress them, but it always sincere about it. One date is totally different from the next, causing him to become more devoted to the other person. Sure, he can slip up sometimes, but he'll make a large attempt to win that girl back over. On the other hand, if she doesn't show the same, he's most likely going to back out. Though, he's the kind of person that likes to leave things on a good note, and try to remain friends.
At times Sky can be the exact opposite of the sweet guy a girl might know. He can be extremely over-protective, especially of his younger brother and older sister. His past is somewhat rough in this area, which has caused him to become quite the aggressive person, and isn't afraid to tell you that he's not too fond of something. He's gotten into a good amount of fights in his time, especially if he believes you've stepped over the line on anything. He doesn't trust guys, and therefore tends to be pretty judgemental of them, which sometimes leads to him lashing out. He isn't very wordy, and would rather just brawl it out instead of talking it through.
Skylar is very independent, and would actually rather be by himself certain times of the day depending on how he's feeling. Sure, he likes company, but he needs to have time to think things over, which is what he usually does later at night. You'll often see him out alone, until he finds someone to spend his time with. Since both his parents are lawyers, Sky grew up looking after himself when Nikole wasn't around, therefore has gotten to know what life is like on his own. He likes a challenge, which is what living without his parents (with the exception of the maid or nanny) gave him. He spent constant days occupying himself, so now when you can't find something to do, always count on Skylar for simple ideas.
If there is one person you want to come help cheer you up, it's Sky. He's always had an upbeat personality, and is constantly in a happy mood, or at least trying to be when the going gets tough. He has his problems with this however, and has been known to say some things he shouldn't. For the most part, he's always trying to be the life of the party. He brings humor, which at times is forced, but you can definitely tell he tries to make people happy. He hates being the center of attention, which brings his story to exactly how shy he can be at times. Sky is pretty outgoing, and would approach someone if he feels confident enough in a healthy conversation, but when he doesn't know what to say he'll shut the hell up. He's never been one with words, which is why his body language tells a lot of what he can't get out. In this case, him being shy has provoked that.
One of his favorite past times is having fun. He's a down-to-earth person, even though he can get a little bit judgemental. Skylar likes a good party, actually, he prefers to be out doing what he does best. He enjoys meeting people who like doing the same things he does, but he won't be the one approaching a guy to talk, a girl maybe, but never a guy. Fun has always come with a price to pay, and this price happens to be trust. Ever since the whole Fight Club thing started, he never trusted guys, and therefore leaned more toward girls for company. This sort of ties in with the fact that he's not afraid to speak his mind, and that he can get a little uncomfortable around guys. His history isn't exactly bright and warm when it comes to the male figures, so trust has become a large factor in his friendships.
To sum him up in a nutshell, he's a pretty messed up kid who just wants a second try, and that second try happens to be the sweet, innocent one on the inside. It's All BEHIND You P.O.B: Cleveland, Ohio. History: Life had pretty much been pre-planned for Skylar and Nikole, who at the time weren't even out of their mother's stomach. Michael and Lauren had met in college, both young, attractive students attending Yale Law School. You might say that Michael and Lauren fell head over heels in love, but not to the extreme where they'd be looking to get married and have a baby (or two) while still in school. Nikole and Skylar were what one might call a 'mistake', but in fact, the couple was excited about having an edition to the Huntington/Townsend family. Shortly after finding out that Lauren was pregnant, Michael asked her to marry him. Seven months after he did so, Nikole and Skylar Huntington were born. Skylar was always a happy baby, laughing constantly, and just loving life. Nikole on the other hand, was always looking for some kind of adventure. So, the Huntington family began planning. Skylar was to also become a lawyer, like the many boys before him. Nikole, however, was set to become a journalist, or perhaps also a lawyer, the couple didn't know at that point.
Skylar grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, living with his grandparents on the Huntington side. His parents were finishing up school, and then they'd find a place for the four of them to stay. In his younger years, Sky spent his time coloring, and trying to learn. He was a very smart kid, and began talking and walking earlier than most children do. So, his parents took advantage of it, and pushed him to higher and new levels. Nikole was pushed along just the same, but she showed more of an interest into clothing and make-up, there was no doubt that this little girl was going to be a diva. Sky and Nikole were extremely different, and grew to look slightly different as well. Skylar developed brown hair, and Nikole red hair. Their personalities weren't similar at all, either. Sky was always more relaxed, but Nikole was constantly on the move, and a more high-maintenance baby. Skylar learned to do more things on his own, letting Nikole have the attention for a change.
When both Skylar and Nikole were two years of age, their parents decided to have another baby, hoping that this time it was only one. They continued living in Cleveland in their grandparent's vast house until the baby was born, and then slowly began to think about moving out. Erik was a whiny baby, forcing all the attention onto him, and less on Nikole and Skylar. Michael and Lauren made the mistake of deciding to move to New York City, and were forced to hire a nanny to take care of their three children while they worked. Their parents spent strange hours at home, and long hours at work, so the children barely got to see them. Skylar bonded with an older women that lived in the house next door, who often came with treats and toys for the kids. He liked the older women, and gravitated to her for comfort when the nanny and his parents weren't around. In a way, she was like his third mom.
One evening when Skylar was seven years old, the older woman passed away. Skylar fell into a stage of depression, and would lock himself in his bedroom for days, only coming out to shower and go to the bathroom. His food would come from take-out at the restaurant down the street, but that would be about the only time he ever got out of their house. He grew extremely thin, and to pass the time he would draw and take pictures of the city. His drawing abilities were quite good for an eight year old, and his photography was exceptionally amazing. His parents eventually realized how artistic their son was, and decided to send him to an art school down the road. This pulled Skylar out of depression, and he focused on school again, especially his photography. Sky never went anywhere without his camera, which in a way saved him from whatever he was plummeting into.
Skylar turned to alcohol at the age of thirteen to cope with his sister going away to a fashion prep school, and then his brother moving back to Cleveland for a special school out there. He'd constantly raid the liquor cabinet when his parents weren't home, and would stash it in his room until he needed it. He never turned to alcohol too much to where he'd be completely drunk, but he relied on it to ease the pain. This is about when he accidentally overheard one of his father's "business meetings", which turned out to be Mafia related. Michael had a case against one of the Mob members, who ended up losing because of Michael. Michael's client won the case, but the Mob member lost everything. Michael had chose option 'B', which was to win the case, but then repay the Mafia so they wouldn't bring harm upon his family. Skylar decided to help his father out, and went behind his back to make other Mafia deals. This was when Sky was turned onto the Fight Club scene.
The Mafia paid fifteen year old Skylar to win, and if he lost, his father owed even more money. At first, Sky didn't do so well, and ended up costing his father a couple grand more. Once he began training, though, he was completely unstoppable. Slowly Skylar found himself winning back the money that his father needed, but he was in pretty rough shape for a fifteen year old kid. Always coming hope with bumps, cuts, and bruises, his father began to notice, so brought up the injuries with his son. Skylar lied to him, and said that he was getting jumped on his way back from school, but it was only because he was walking alone. Sure enough, his father believed him, and told him to find someone to walk with. Skylar did, but went to the Fight Club everyday after school instead of coming straight home. He worked his ass off trying to get in good enough shape to win over all the money. Finally, Nikole returned from the prep school, and immediately took notice to what was going on with her brother. She lured him away from the fighting, considering the fact that it was hard to stop. She reluctantly allowed him to enter one last fight, and he won over all the needed money, as well as the trust and companionship with the Mafia men. However, Skylar loved fighting, and one of the men turned him onto Boxing, a safer route into fighting.
Skylar has found that he doesn't want to be the aggressive guy he once was, and wants to do things the legal way, and a make wiser decisions. So, he turned over a new leaf, and became the guy he'd always wanted to be. He no longer spent time with the local gangs, he didn't fight anymore, and he definitely was more gentle of a person. However, you can't change the past, which is what worries people about him. He did fight at one time, so the wrath and anger hasn't disappeared, it's just buried. So, the best advice for a person, don't go digging up a grave when it's not totally covered. Family: Michael Huntington - Father - 37 - Lawyer Lauren Huntington - Mother - 37 - Lawyer Nikole Huntington - Sister - 17 - Twin Erik Huntington - Brother - 15 Other: Not that I know of.
