Back To The BASICS Full Name: Nathan Isaac LeCroix Nicknames: Nate, LeCroix Age: 17 D.O.B: June 16, 1990 Gender: Male Grade: Junior Original Appearance: Freshman
It's All About YOU Celebrity Portrayal: Bow Wow Physical Appearance: Nate is one of very few African-American students at RPA, and he stands out for it. Even though he’s not that dark, his even caramel complexion contrasts sharply with his pasty Caucasian classmates. He stands just under 6 feet tall, but looks taller thanks to his proportionately long arms and legs. He keeps himself in good shape, but he’s too uncoordinated to seriously participate in any sport: You’d never know that Nate was kicked off his middle school soccer team for causing the team one too many games by looking at him. Nate frequents the RPA fitness center and can be found lifting free weights or working on a machine more often than not. He is particularly proud of his 6-pack abs, and shows them off any chance he gets. Facially, Nate is kind of a pretty boy. Rather than fight it, he embraces it and keeps his thin face well-groomed, free of stubble. He had wide, light eyes that girls love. His nose is straight and his mouth is wide. His teeth are straight thanks to braces. Nate has been accused of tweezing his eyebrows, but they’re just naturally neat. He wears his hair cropped very close to his head, but has been known to grow it out and sport cornrows from time to time. He has his ears pierced, so sometimes wears diamond studs. Clothing Style: Nate considers himself a sharp dresser. He dresses himself in hip-hop and street styled clothing, which is another thing that makes him stand out from his American Eagle-clad classmates. He can usually be found in a large t-shirt or basketball jersey and baggy jeans. He layers t-shirts, always wearing a clean white shirt under whatever else he decides to wear. He owns a few silver chains that he wears around his neck. When not in class, he always has a hat on his head. He had a fairly large hat collection. He owns all kinds, from trendy trucker hats to fitteds embroidered with team logos. He has one pair of real diamond stud earrings that he treasures and only wears on occasions that he feels are worthy. Personality: Nate is about as outgoing a kid as you can find anywhere. He loves being at RPA and it shows. His first year, he was friendly with literally everyone he came across, but as a Junior he has learned who he should avoid as to not ruin his day. But his ‘avoid’ list is incredibly short compared to his friends list. Because Nate is somewhat of a Wanderer, he finds himself surrounded by different people daily. He subconsciously tries his best to be nice to everyone, and enjoys talking to new people. Along with being a Wanderer, Nate finds himself labeled as a Scholar. He attends RPA on an academic scholarship and has worked hard over the past 2 years to maintain it. Were it not for the scholarship, he would not be able to attend the school and he is well aware of it. He is a little shy about letting people know that he is a scholarship student, but, surrounded by the apparent wealth of his peers, can you blame him? Nate spends a lot of time in the RPA library, but you can also find him in the gym working on his physique pretty often. And on weekends when his work is done, Nate loves to go out to a club or party. When at clubs or parties, he sticks to the edges to talk to people and blatantly avoid the dance floor. Nate might look athletic and coordinated, but he has two left feet and when he tries to dance he ends up hurting himself or those around him. Likes: Meeting new people, Making friends, Watching sports, Being away from home, Parties, Working out Dislikes: Mean people, Bad grades, Overly wealthy people, Dancing Overall Flaws: Very clumsy and uncoordinated. Vain. Pets: None Financial Status: Lower-Middle Class Clique: Wanderer && Scholar
It's All BEHIND You P.O.B: Chicago, Illinois History: Nate was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to a married couple of teachers. His sister was 5 when he was born, and wasn’t too happy about the new addition to the family, but after a few years she warmed up to him and they are now very close. Nate’s family lived in a duplex and Nate and his sister would often play on the porch with the children who lived in the adjoining house. When Nate was 10, his parents were simultaneously tenured at their respective schools, and the extra income that came with the position allowed the family to move to their own home in the suburbs of Chicago, where they have been ever since. The family isn’t wealthy, but they get by and can afford to treat themselves to summer vacations and other special things from time to time. For example, Nate and his sister received used cars when they got their driver’s permits. Around the time that the family moved, Nate began standing out among his classmates as being especially bright. He was put into the Honors program at his school and found that he enjoyed learning new things. This was pretty fortuitous, because Nate had recently discovered that he was never going to go far with an athletic or artistic career. When Nate was 13 and in 7th grade, one of his teachers introduced him to the idea of going to a private preparatory high school. He loved the idea and threw himself into researching and contacting several schools. He was conscious of the fact that he would need a scholarship to attend a private school and made sure to ask about that at each school. Nate was accepted at every prep school that he applied, to, but RPA was the only that offered him a full scholarship. Nate and his parents happily accepted the offer and he has been working hard at RPA for 2 years, with no signs of slowing down his Junior or Senior years. Family: Father - Marcus Gregory LeCroix, high school teacher Mother - Marie Smith LeCroix, elementary school teacher Sister - Eliza Jacqueline LeCroix, age 22, student Other:Nope, I think I covered it all
