Sample Post: The oak door swung open reluctantly as the person on the other side struggled with the brass doorknob. Ivy lowered her right hand from her sharp rap on the door and looked up into the face of the student. Yellow-green eyes stared her down with curiosity, as was evident by the raised eyebrows. He was tall, and as her gaze scanned the rest of him briefly, she flushed as she realized that he wasn't fully dressed- only in a pair of boxers and a fitted t-shirt. Not that her own pair of comfy jeans and a yellow tank top indicated that she cared much on her appearance. Ivy recognized him now. Constantine. She's seen him around, heard a little about him, but never actually met him. She returned her turquoise gaze to his, unconsciously sweeping a hand lightly across her face to wipe her bangs out of the way. Determined not to be intimidated by his stare, she stood up to her full potential of 5'4" and pressed her lips into a friendly smile, wondering who the boy was.
Seeing the band logo on his t-shirt, she flashed a grin as with an indicating hand gesture said, "Hey, Constantine... Great band." She glanced down the hallway, scanning for any sign of the correct room to no avail. She'd been searching for a while, she knew, acknowledging that out loud with a sigh. "I'm looking for Tyler Owens and I thought this was his room, sorry." She didn't think they would, but she figured that she might as well ask, so Ivy added, "Did you happen to see him around recently? I was supposed to come find him in his room so we could go get some coffee, but..." trailing off, as it was apparent that she had nothing more to add. She shifted her canvas bag on her shoulder to adjust the weight off her two books, writing utensils, and carefully placed iPod so that it would not be crushed under the weight of her other possessions, shifting her weight on her worn brown flip-flops.

Gender: Female

Original Appearance: Junior
It's All About YOU
Celebrity Portrayal: None, it's just a picture off deviantart.com, put up by Julien1989
Physical Appearance: Just shy of the average height, Ivy is 5'4" and slender with small curves. She weights about 105 lbs., most of which is muscle due to her athletic involvement. Ivy is fair-skinned, with a creamy complexion and a light sprinkling of freckles on her nose and cheeks. She often gets red in the face in a blush when embarrassed or angry. During the summer she is almost always sunburned unless she uses sunscreen excessively. During the winter, her skin pales ever so slightly from the lack of bright sunshine, as she is always bundled up to stay warm (she's extremely cold-natured).
Framed by thick, long lashes, Ivy's turquoise eyes hold a variety of distinct lines with many shades of blues and greens that explode out in distinct lines from around her pupil with a hint of yellow-green surrounding the pupil. Depending on what color she wears, her eyes can appear more green or blue than usual. Her intense eyes generally possess a stormy look to them, her eyes showing a range of emotion from happy to indifferent to infuriated. They will flash with anger and brighten with joy, the true tell-tale window to her thoughts. Ivy often sports aviators to shield her eyes, which are sensitive to light and wind.
Straight as a board, golden blonde hair cascades down Ivy's back down to halfway between her slim shoulders and her elbows. Her hair is done in multiple layers that vary greatly in length, but the shortest still allows her to pull her hair up in a ponytail. Colors from pale blonde to dark gold naturally highlight her hair, and a pale red tinge to some strands is evident in the sunlight. Long bangs are usually either swept to the side to cover only most of one eye or pinned back up onto the top of her head so that they blend with her thick hair.
There is a small nose piercing on the left side of her nose. It's a small silver stud, noticeable but not flashy or large, that Ivy always has in except when it's not allowed, such as at sporting events. Her ears are also pierced, but she doesn't always wear earrings in. Ivy has no tattoos because she thinks that they wouldn't look good on her. She also is of the opinion that later on in life, a stretched or wrinkled tattoo wouldn't look too appealing. She has no problem with anyone with tattoos, however, and if dared or something of a similar kind, she might do it just to say she would. Numerous scars dot her body, though not noticeably, most from accidents that she prefers not to discuss. Namely would be the clawing scar that scrapes up her thigh, invisible except when wet (in which case it turns a silvery purple), that Ivy got from running into a cement table and flipping over it. Also, she had a faded scar on her cheek from running into a tree and a round scar on her shoulder from a fall during a race (she's not the most graceful person, obviously). Ivy is an all around appealing-looking girl. She is not the stunning, mouth open and drooling beauty, but none-the-less a pretty picture. Blonde hair and a red tint, unusual eyes that are a blend of blues, greens, and yellows in a distinct pattern, and full lips with a cupid-bow upper lip are placed on her pale, heart-shaped face. Small and slender, she doesn't appear to be the athlete she is at first glance. She has a nose piercing and ears pierced, with no tattoo but more scars than the average person. A casual style implies comfort and confidence in her appearance, and a low-maintenance look. She usually wears black eyeliner and mascara, perhaps a pale or clear lip gloss, but other than that prefers not to wear any make-up.
Clothing Style: Ivy's style is casual, generally a tank top of any design or color with a pair of jeans or shorts. The occasional T-shirt or nice-casual top from Gap or wherever (she's not picky) will find it's way into her closet. If you're lucky, she might actually wear a skirt, strictly a jean skirt, with a top. Her jeans are a mix of styles, but she tends to favor the skinny jean with gray or dark tints to the blue. However, she will still wear the flare or baggy pant depending on what mood she's in. For a jacket, Ivy usually wears a fleece jacket or a light cotton hoodie, even the same type of cotton sweater with a hood on the back. For shoes, she wears flip-flops year-round, but does have a few pairs of converse and the occasional heel that proves quite dangerous for her to walk in. Several pairs of Aasics running shoes can also found in her closet, or more commonly the floor, as she changes out tennis shoes every two months or so (every 200 miles she runs). Personality: Ivy has many different habits. When puzzled or thinking, even nervous, she tends to chew or bite on her lower lip. She also has a habit of drifting on into her thoughts, day-dreaming, if you will. When angry, she will clench her jaw or hands to keep from losing or temper, or just in an expression of anger. Standing, she usually slouches back just a little and sticks one foot out a little with arms crossed under her chest. She also has a habit of using her hand to lightly brush her bangs to the side. Ivy also hums or sings softly to herself, but never where anyone can hear her. She can almost always be found with an iPod headphone in her ear, the other dangling to allow her to keep an ear open with which to listen to a conversation or anything in general. In accordance with her aspirations to be an author, Ivy almost always carries a small notepad for doodling and jotting down ideas for writing. Because she usually carries a large purse or bag, Ivy always carries a book or two, one of which is always her favorite, Twilight or New Moon, and another book she is currently reading. If she doesn't have a purse with her, Ivy simply carries the books in her arms along with the mug of coffee (she feels naked and vulnerable without a book). She also tends to purposely defy any order, and will go out of her way to prove someone wrong when it comes to something she would or would not do.
**Ivy has many hobbies of differing topics and interests. She loves to listen to music and read, especially both at the same time. Her obsession with books extends to a few genres, generally fiction, fantasy, a little sci-fi, and some history. Another passion is writing, but she constantly starts new projects without finishing the others, with one exception. She always keeps a copy of a book about her opinions and life at the bottom of her bottom drawer in her dresser, and usually has a copy of the past several pages in her purse or book to work on, which she enjoys. Sports are other hobbies that occupy much of her time. She is a rather speedy runner, preferring the longer distances (such as the 5K). However, she also loves to play other sports for fun, particularly tackle football and soccer. Ivy enjoys singing, but she always does so quietly unless alone or in the car, because she doesn't think her voice is good. Another hobby would be sitting under a shady tree and relaxing, usually with her iPod or a book. But sometimes that shady tree is replaced by a small cafe or restaurant depending on the weather and her mood. She also makes a hobby of doing anything in the rain, particularly in lightening storms, running out into the weather to take a walk or read under a tree.
As far as talents go, Ivy has few, but she excels in those few. A speedy runner despite her size and slightness, she holds a PR (Personal Record) time of 19:59 in the 5K (3.1 miles). She also is a talented writer, though she never lets anyone ready her work, and a very quick reader, generally going through several novels in a day depending on how many books she has available. Ivy is a fair singer, by no means the future pop or rock star, whatever she'd sing, but she does have a decent and pleasant voice, though she sings quietly. She is quick to discredit herself modestly when complimented to any larger degree. Also an intelligent person, she maintains strict A - low B grades, though she could get straight 'A's if she applied herself more. She is rather lazy when it comes to school-work, but it usually comes fairly easily.
To put Ivy generally, she's an enthusiastic reader and writer, avid listener to music though she's not picky about genre, and fairly talented individual. Strong willed but laid back, independent, unpredictable, friendly, and confident would be several words to describe her. She is proud and stubborn, rarely admitting to being wrong or to needing help. She despises crying, though her eyes water easily and often, often doing whatever possible to avoid it. Often sarcastic and quit-witted, Ivy enjoys a witty and intelligent conversation. On the occasion, however, she finds herself having a day when she feels silly and indulges in her lack of common sense. She is a horrible liar, and people can typically see right through her. A pleasant voice and loud, full laugh, she enjoys being happy, and can often be found with her head thrown back in a laugh. Her opinions are often kept to herself despite her strong will and opinionated nature. Ivy loves to be with friends, but also enjoys her 'alone time'. A hopeless romantic, Ivy enjoys a sappy love story in novels and movies, but retains a rather cynical view on her own love life and love in reality.

She's extremely competitive as well, and slightly over-confident. Slightly too thin to be average, Ivy's slim physique makes her look weak, though long and hard muscles define her legs and abs. Her arms have little muscle though, another flaw, giving her weak upper body strength. Extremely stubborn and proud, Ivy will rarely admit to being wrong or needing help. Klutzy to the extreme, Ivy can rarely go a day without nearly killing herself in a moment of pure clumsiness. She's also afraid to get emotionally attached and getting into a relationship. As a result, her romantic history is practically nonexistent. Pets: Ivy has no pets, but she's always wanted one.

History: Conor James was attending Oxford in England when he met Brooke Whitney as a senior, who was working in a nearby cafe and not attending college. They continued to date until he graduated, in which they rushed into an early marriage. Nine months later, Nathan was born. The couple rented an apartment and lived together, struggling to get by, until on May 23, 1991, Ivy was born in a local hospital. Both parents readily agreed to move the United States soon after, so when Ivy was six months old, the small family moved to Topsail Beach, North Carolina.
Ivy's childhood was fairly normal in the beginning, as she was too young to notice the arguments that her parents had nearly every night. She and Nathan immediately grew as close as siblings can get. It was only until Ivy was about five that she truly noticed the unrest and cold indifference emanating from her parents. She buried herself in her friends and Nathan in order to distract herself from the fights her parents had. Things remained platonic until Ivy reached seventh grade.
During Ivy's middle school years, Conor lost his job. Brooke drove Conor to find a new occupation, which only led to more arguments. Ivy became incensed when she discovered that her parents were getting a divorce. She and Nathan decided to live with their mother, after which Conor severed all connection and gave up custody. Ivy used her friends to cheer herself up, working through her anger at her parents until she was marked by it, but no longer immediately affected. She took pleasure in doing crazy activities and spending time with friends. Nathan and she took particular enjoyment in hanging out as they completely understood each other.
When a freshman, Ivy's mother presented to her the idea of applying to Ocean View Academy, an idea which she immediately rejected. With Nathan's encouragement and Brooke's forced "persuasion", Ivy caved and filled out the application. Soon accepted, she reluctantly packed her bags and gave a cold good-bye to her mother. She and Nathan shed a few tears, which Ivy stubbornly fought and wiped away before boarding the plane.
