Christopher Levi Miles
Behind The Mask Your Name/Alias: Mike Years Roleplaying: a few Joining Password: *admin edit* How did you find us?: I‘m here already Sample Post: [see “Lark Austin”]
Back To The BASICS Full Name: Christopher Levi Miles Nicknames: Chris, Levi, Toph, Topher Age: 16 D.O.B: December 14, 1990 Gender: male Grade: sophomore Original Appearance: Freshman year
It's All About YOU Celebrity Portrayal: Joseph Dempsie Physical Appearance: Odd. Old. Two words that have been used to describe this boy for as long as he can remember. Something about him gives off the impression that he s older than he is… or is as odd as he actually is. It’s most likely not the short brown hair. In fact, that may be the one thing that is normal about Chris. He enjoys keeping it shorter so it’s more easily ignored. True, this is a very lazy thing to do, but it’s just the way Chris is. He enjoys convenience. He can't understand guys that grow out their hair. He doesn't dislike them, just can't understand why they create such a hassle for themselves. Next are Chris' big grey eyes. They seem to stand out when you can see them. These eyes are usually darting around due to the fact that Chris is usually under the influence of some drug or searching for someone he can get a fix from. His eyes are almost unnaturally clear, but Chris isn't exactly the type to notice this. They almost appear to be perfect ovals which complement his rounded face nicely. His physique is something he pays attention to. Chris works out twice a week, but he has the abs of someone with really nice abs. He's naturally thin because he doesn't eat much, and when he does he tends to work it off naturally [he's a bit of a dancer when he's taking drugs]. [256 words]
Clothing Style: Chris is not at all what you would call a “fashion fan.” In fact, you’re lucky if he remembers to put clothes on over his boxer briefs when he wakes up in the morning. Shockingly enough this has happened more often than one would hope it to have happened. At least three times a week Cassie has to send Chris back to his room telling him “You’re not going without clothes… just wow.” It doesn’t take long for him to throw together a typical outfit. It all starts in the pants. Chris is usually found wearing a par of loose, comfortable, jeans. He’s a simple fella as well. No hassle. Just jeans. Half they time he’s not sure when they were last washed. His theory is that if they don’t smell dirty, then he’s going to wear them. Picking a shirt has always baffled Chris. He doesn’t understand why people stop at one. Mixing it up is essentially what he does right about now. Chris is a fan of wearing multiple shirts at once. The only problem with this is that Chris isn’t exactly a fan of making things match. See, he once wore a striped shirt underneath a flowered shirt. However, this is one of the many reasons it’s good that Chris has Cassie around to yell at him. Shoes are simple. Chris wears the same pair of shoes every single day. His yellow and orange flip flops. He only has two other pars of shoes [sneakers and a nice pair]. The sneakers only get put on when it snows and Chris doesn’t remember ever wearing the nice shoes. So it’s safe to assume the flip flops will be on his feet. [301 words]
Personality: Really the only words that ever comes to mind when people are trying to describe Chris are simply: insane, loud, and reserved. Normally those words don't work together, but Chris has made it possible.
You see. On a good day Chris is exactly what you'd think. He's a loud maniac. Sure, he has volume regulation, you're taking the word loud too literally. Chris is just... vocal. He loves expressing his opinion on every single subject. Especially ones he knows literally nothing about. To top it all off, Chris isn't exactly the most subtle person in the world. He wears bright colors [when his friends manage to get him to wear clothing] and thinks the world wants to know everything about him [especially girls]. He also has no sense of pride, so he neither damages it nor loses it.
However, Chris could seem like a completely different person if you catch him on an off day [he usually only has about 3 a year]. On one of these rare days Chris is very sullen and calm. His friends tend to shy away from him on these days because they don't even recognize him. Yes, it is very possible for maniac Chris to be calm and reserved. He usually sits off to the side and feels like a bit of a loner when he gets in these moods. If he's given the time though, he'll be back to normal in a day or two. [255 words]

It's All BEHIND You P.O.B: a small town right outside London History: Chris' history is one that most people just do not understand. People can bond with him over one aspect, but never the whole picture. After all, how many 16 year olds do you know who's: father divorced their mother, remarried another woman, mother ran away leaving them alone, and the icing on top of the cake is that this was all caused by a certain immediate blood relative of theirs? That's what I thought.
It must have all started with Peter Miles, Chris' older brother by two years. See, when Chris was still living in England something happened. A big tragedy that he has never actually verbalized, nor does he plan on ever verbalizing the event. Chris, being the only witness, keeps the secret of Peter’s death with him. He gets flashes now and again, but he refuses to talk about it. Even with his family.
Graham Miles. It was easy to abandon what was left of his family once Peter was gone. After all, Peter was the golden boy. Chris was simply the fuck-up. It wasn’t as if Sophie was doing that well either. Alcoholism tends to ruin most relationships. So one week, Graham just left them. He did it formally of course, and Chris knows where to find the “New Miles Family.” He has only ventured there once, however, and it didn’t end well. Graham seems to be happy now living with Mary and their precious baby Sammy. Chris and Sophie have been removed from his family portrait.
Sophie Miles. Her story is what really threw Chris off the deep end. Yes, he was doing drugs already, but that’s no excuse. The whole thing is that he trusted her. She was the one thing in his life that seemed constant. After all, she was the only piece that had made it all 13 years. That changed very drastically. One day Chris woke up to an envelope on the counter with a decent chunk of money inside. A simple note scribbled on the back “Chris- Be back in a few days. Be good. –Mom.” She didn’t come back in a few days though. Chris found himself completely alone with nowhere to turn. Well, almost nowhere.
His closest friend was there to make sure Chris didn’t die. Well, sort of. See, Cassie Mars and her parents were moving to the states. This move would have left Chris alone with no one to watch out for him. It was that fact that worried Cassie. She, more than anyone, knew that Chris only wanted someone to depend on. Someone to care for him. That was most likely the exact reason she told her parents that Chris was moving in with them in the states.
Chris has been living comfortably with the Mars family for a little over two years now. Having distanced himself from his family [and claiming he has no one], Chris is able to trust people a bit more easily [but still not everyone]. [530 words]
Family: None that he’ll speak of. He pretends to be orphaned by his family. But his actual family is as follows- Graham Miles – father Mary Miles – step-mother Sophie Miles - mother Peter Miles – brother [deceased] Sam Miles – step-brother Other:’s about it.
