It was Friday afternoon. Julianna had nothing to do. No date to get ready for. No friends to hang out with. No places to be. No one to annoy. Actually, she had plenty of people she could annoy, but those people just didn't seem to interest her on a day like today. After leaving school, she detoured in the completely opposite direction. Vernon Beach was exactly where she wanted to be. The beach seemed to be calling her name and calling loudly.
It was amazing a girl could walk in heels as far as she chose to everyday. A smile crept onto her face, completing her well put together look. The short red plaid skirt that she'd chosen to wear that day would definitely be a good thing once she reached the beach. Her white t-shirt hugged her frame closely and ended exactly where her skirt started. Then there were her shoes. The one thing Julianna loved. Today she had picked a simple pair of black heels without much of a heel at all. The echo of her steps changed forcing her to realize where she was.
She'd reached the beach, finally. Slipping off her heels, Julianna felt her toes curl into the sand. Nothing could stop her from closing her eyes and breathing deeply. Something about the smell of the ocean always seemed to calm her down. As her eyes opened, she shrugged. Julianna wasn't even sure what it was that she needed to calm down about. Then her phone went off. Pulling it from her bag she noted that it was only her brother. Quickly she pressed ignore without thinking twice and tossed it back in.
As she walked into the sand, her shoes hung from her fingertips. About halfway to the water she dropped her weight and looked around. It wasn't everyday Julianna was seen alone in a place such as the beach. Her face showed no expression as she noted her small "posse" of girls and guys were all dutifully missing. Nodding to herself, Julianna closed her eyes and laid back. Maybe if you lay here, no one will notice.
That, however, didn't last long. Even though her eyes were closed, she knew someone was now standing over her. The light had changed. Opening her eyes slowly, the silhouette was indistinguishable. "Yeah?" It came out less friendly than she'd intended, but she didn't mind at all.

The weekend is here... then why isn't Tidus happy about it? I mean, Tidus always looked forward for the weekend. He usually spends it with either doing school work or hanging out with friends but both just seemed so distance lately. Well friends anyways... Tidus really never gives much for school! Just the thought of going home gave Tidus the chills. Home is not one of the most favored vacation place for Tidus. It's usually starbucks or the beach. They are both nice places for Tidus to actually be sane for once in a while, then again... Today was a pretty good day for Tidus, well considering every other day. Today was a cherry on top of a banana slit and he doesn't like bananas! Exiting through the school door, Tidus felt a strange feeling in his stomach. He needed coffee. His ride to starbucks on his skateboard was rather slow and steady. Today was hot enough already without coffee... so iced coffee sounded pretty good right now. The beach was his detour from home. By the looks of it, dark-ness was a just a little near... hopefully soon! Tidus began to walk through the sand of the beach holding up his skateboard at his neck and his shirt and shoes in his bag. Tidus turned his head slightly towards the water and passed a girl who laid on the sand as if wanting to be pulled by the water into... the magical underwater sea castle or something like that! Tidus took a step back and towards the girl... more like over the girl. He looked down at her and apparently she noticed with this statement. Yeah? Well, this is going to be pleasant. "I don't know. Just wondering how long you are planning on laying down in this sand!"

Julianna's eyes opened when someone stepped over her. She would have minded if he wasn't shirtless. Seems like a fair trade. She raised an arm and shielded her eyes from the sun as she looked up at the person talking to her.
"I don't know. Just wondering how long you are planning on laying down in the sand!"[/s]
She knew the voice. Then again, she knew almost every senior boy at her school. Goodwin. They'd never actually met though, so Julianna smiled up at him. Now seemed as good a time as any to unofficially meet him.
"I'm not sure yet. Am I bothering you by being here?" She kept her voice sweet. She didn't feel like being her typical sometimes-a-bitch self today. The sun and sand were keeping her rational and calm. She loved it.
However, somethings cannot be prevented. Julianna sat up and leaned back on her hands. "So who exactly are you anyway?"

Tidus smiled as he watched the girl sit up and look up at him. Seen her around school but then again Tidus thinks that he has seen everyone at school. He smirked slightly and kneeled down in front of the girl.
I'm not sure yet. Am I bothering you by being here? So who excatly are you anyways? Tidus offered his hand for a shake from the girl. He usually doesn't do that but then again... Tidus does have a sweet spot for girls... so he is not a complete jerk. "I don't have a problem with it at all!" Tidus sat his skateboard down on the ground and sat on top of it which really do much considering it somewhat sank into the sand. "Well, I am Spencer Godwin, but highly advice you not to call me Spencer. Tidus is most likely appreciated. And you are?" Tidus removed his hair out of his eyes. Right now, it was one of those days that he wishes he has short hair... or not! Tidus laid his hand ontop of his knees and dug his toes into the sand and just stared at the girl.

Julianna reached out and shook his hand. He seemed nice enough. Cute enough, too. Julianna shook her head. Her thoughts seemed to be getting the best of her, and that never seemed to work out to her benefit. Well maybe once, but lately her head had been getting her into trouble.
"I don't have a problem with it at all!" A smile crept onto her face as he sat down on his skateboard and it sank into the ground. Julianna remained propped up on her hands and crossed her legs in front of her.
"Well, I am Spencer Godwin, but highly advice you not to call me Spencer. Tidus is most likely appreciated. And you are?" Julianna nodded as he moved the hair from his eyes. He was almost staring, but for some reason, she just didn't mind. Shrugging, she looked out towards the water. "Julianna Montgomery." Her eyes moved slowly back to him. She looked him up and down before letting a coy smile reappear on her face. "I hate it though. Feel free to call me something else."

Tidus quickly smiled at the before shifting over a little enought to fully she the water. He took a slight stare at the water before back at the girl.
Julianna Montgomery. Montgomery? Montgomery? Some how that name just really sounds fimiliar to Tidus. He has heard that name and he knows, best to leave it at that before it gets to his head. Most thing do that!
I hate it though. feel free to call me something else. Tidus laughed softly and nodded his head. He pushed his hair back and smiled at Julianna. He completely understand why she hates her name. Not that he hates her name, it's a really nice name but then most kid these days don't like to be called by their first names. Spencer, Tidus actually really likes that name a lot but just the thought about being called Tidus is like a four year old with a 10 pound lollipop! "Well then what's your middle name? Maybe I can call you by that?" Tidus looked back out at the sea, more staring than looking really. When tidus stares at something, it usually means daydream. The water was just so large... large enough to want to actually just want to float on top and just go somewhere were it's like no other. He has weird daydreams, let's just get that straight down the line.

He was quiet. She didn't mind quiet, but she and silence didn't have to most impeccable relationship. Julianna watched him stare off at the ocean and turned her attention in that direction too. There were a few crazy surfers sitting on their boards in the cold water. She arched an eyebrow as she counted them. Insane. All seven of them.
"Well then what's your middle name? Maybe I can call you by that?" She looked back at him and saw him get lost in his own thoughts and mind. Julianna laid back in the sand and closed her eyes. Curling her toes into the sand she wondered why Tidus had sat there instead of anywhere else on the beach. Julianna shook the thought from her head and remembered his question. She turned her head toward him and opened her eyes. "It's Danielle."

"It's Danielle." Tidus had a natural act of coming up with nicknames for people and the people... seem to like the nickname. Tidus nodded his head. From Julianna's current reactions he could tell something about her. "You are the youngest in your family huh?" Naturally quiet people in a family are usually the quiet ones. Julianna seems to not talk a lot, appreciated but just not today. Tidus needed some one who is extremely talkative. He would basically be singing 'I want someone provocative and talkative...' but then again, it's a man-whorish sing! Just kidding. Tidus stood up his skateboard and brushed off some sand off his backside. He picked up his skateboard and kneel-ed down next to Julianna's ear. "Are you enjoying the water? Cause you know, you would enjoy it more if we are taking a walk. You want to?" Tidus raised an eyebrow at Julianna hoping she would agree. I mean, watching the water if fun and all... as far as that goes but I think taking a walk would be so much better. Just a thought of mind...

"You are the youngest in your family huh?" She looked at him with a questoning look on her face. "Yeah. I am. How'd you know?" There was something about this guy that she liked. He was interesting, but not annoyingly coy like most of the guys she talked to. He seemed to be really, what was the word, down to earth. So why exactly was she staying quiet? Usually by now she would have talked his ear off. Julianna saw him stand out of the corner of her eye. Figuring he had simply gotten bored wth her, she kept her gaze on the water. She was a little hurt since he was probably one of the better looking guys she'd talked to in a while. Then she felt his face near her's.
"Are you enjoying the water? Cause you know, you would enjoy it more if we are taking a walk. You want to?" She smiled and turned to face him. Slightly shocked at the fact that he was still there. "Course I would." Julianna stood up and brushed the sand off her skirt as she picked up her shoes. She'd have to be insane to turn down the invitation from the shirtless skater.

Tidus smiled at Julianna when she looked at him.
Yeah. I am. How’d you know? Tidus gave an unhelpful shrug and pushed his hair out of his face. “You are kind of quiet… well when you first meet people anyways right?” Tidus has a younger sibling, that one is for sure. His younger sibling is the quietest one in his family. It’s not just his family, also his friend’s families. The youngest is always the quiet one so it was a pretty good guess Tidus just had that Julianna is the youngest.
Course I would. Tidus slightly backed from Julianna as she stood up. He held his skateboard to the side and sighed. He pulled up his pants and waited for Julianna to finish brushing off the sand. That’s one thing he hated about the beach, sand gets stuck to you! “You can put your shoes in my bag if you want!”

“You are kind of quiet… well when you first meet people anyways right?” Julianna raised an eyebrow at him. This was actually kind of entertaining. She gave him a half hearted nod. "This is an amazing talent. Go on. Tell me more about myself." She smiled at him. It was meant as a joke, but she wondered if he actually could tell anything else just from what little they had sad to each other. Her smile slowly turned into a grin as she continued speaking. "Of course, now that I know you I stop being quiet and start talking your ear off. I'm awfully sorry about that. But I do wish you all the luck in the world when it comes to shutting me up."
Once she had brushed a decent amount of sand off of her skirt, she looked at Tidus and waited for him to make a move.
"You can put your shoes in my bag if you want!" Glancing down at her shoes which dangled from her fingers, she simply shrugged. They weren't really an inconvenience. "I might take you up on the offer later. I'm fine now though. Thanks." Julianna looked at Tidus a little closer. Why hadn't he turned and ran like so many guys did in his position. Not one to question luck, she shook the thoughts from her head. Raising an eyebrow she asked, "So we walking?"

This is an amazing talent. Go on. Tell me more about myself? Tidus smiled at Julianna and laughed softly. He tucked the free hand in his pocket and got a good grip on his skateboard with the other. “Doesn’t that sound a bit too ironic to you at all? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way? You know… you telling me about you… not me telling you about…you?” If Tidus went any deeper than that he would have probably lost an IQ point. I don’t think Tidus can afford to loss any more IQ points to keep his grade point average the same. Of course, now that I know you I stop being quiet and start talking your ear off. I’m awfully sorry about that. But I so wish you all the luck in the world when it comes to shutting me up. Tidus wanted to say something that went more on the lines of: but we’ve just talked for like 4 minutes but then again, if she was going to start talking a lot, he better shut his mouth! Tidus’s facial expression and feelings kind of drowned. “I've lived with about 5 women in my house… that’s including my dogs… trust me, it ain’t going to be new!” Grrr, He hates using that word… ain’t. Is that even a word?
I might take you up on the offer later. I’m fine now though. Thanks. Tidus just shrugged his shoulder and bit his bottom lip softly. “Well, alright!” Tidus just stood still for a moment and just stared off to space and quickly looked at Julianna who had her eyebrow raised at him. So, we walking? Tidus quickly blinked and smiled. He nodded his hands and gestured for her to go first. “Of course…”

“Doesn’t that sound a bit too ironic to you at all? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way? You know… you telling me about you… not me telling you about…you?” Julianna laughed and smiled at him. It did sound ironic, but it was true given their stuation. She laughed softly and shook her head. "I just enjoyed hearing all about me from, well, not me. Or anyone not directly related to me. It's... refreshing?" She tilted her head to the side. Was that even the word she had wanted to use? I didn't sound right, but she was almost positive it was close enough to the right choice.
“I've lived with about 5 women in my house… that’s including my dogs… trust me, it ain’t going to be new!” "Ouch. That sounds like a bitch of a time. I've just got the one brother, and my mom. I almost wish I had a dog actually. It would be better than Vin." She bit her lip. Why did she say things like that? Her brother wasn't a horrible person or anything. They just never saw eye to eye, to put it nicely.
“Well, alright!”[/s] Julianna swung her shoes and smiled weakly. They weren't obscenely heavy... yet. It would make for a good accident if she forgot to get her shoes back though.
“Of course…”[/s] Nodding, she stepped next to him and started walking. As they walked down the beach she asked a question she genuinely wanted to know the answer to. "So what brought you out here today Tidus?" He didn't exactly seem the beach type.

I just enjoyed hearing all about me from, well not me. Or anyone not directly related to me. It’s… refreshing? Tidus’s eyes widen and he laughed slightly. He wiped his chin and nodded his head. “Well then we have completely different prospective on that… I find it kind of really creepy when someone tells me something about me. It’s like their stalking me. It makes my skin crawl a little bit.” Okay, that was slightly untrue. He does find it creepy if someone know more about than he does but for the amount of people who try to tell him what he is like but they get it so far past wrong… it’s really entertaining to see their reaction after he tells them that word ‘No!’ Ouch. That sounds like a bitch of a time. I’ve just got the one brother, and my mom. I almost wish I had a dog actually. It would be better than Vin. Tidus loved his dogs a lot… but they are the dangerous kind of breed. He has the wolf mixed breeds: Siberian huskies and Akita inus. Dogs bite at any chance they get and Julianna probably just doesn’t get that! If she does then… good for her. At least if she gets a dog, it won’t be a wolf mixed breed. “Whose Vin?” It was a pretty good chance that Vin might be her brother but he just doesn’t like to jump into conclusion. Not that kind of person because most of his conclusions are 82% incorrect. So what brought you out here today Tidus? Tidus began walking a long side with Julianna at somewhat of a slow speed. He looked down at the ground, trying to come up with the best explanation. “Well, I’m waiting until my mom goes to work so I have some time to avoid her and my dad works the same times as her so I get to avoid him as well. So ot just means that the less time I spend with my parents the more likely chance that I won’t get sent back to therapy! Oh yeah, therapy is fun. Who doesn’t like picking off dolls form the shelf and telling your therapist why you choose that doll! What fun!” Well obviously the last part about therapy was complete and utter sarcasm. Therapy is not fun. “And besides I like the beach. I surf a little too! It’s like the third place I call home besides starbucks and actual home.”
