Allison was up in her dorm room getting ready to the greatest night of her life. Well , not really. She was just finally going out somewhere than classrooms and the nearby video store. It was one of those nights where she craved to be out on the dance floor , just go crazy. Not to crazy obviously , she had her limits and she knew when to stop. It was going to be a night to remember , she could feel it , how and why? These were not questions you'd ask Ms.Allison whom was already starting to get ready. Usually , it did not take her long to get ready , but in this case she did not want people looking at her like she had no fashion sense. That last thing she needed was someone coming up to her and suggesting a fashion statement. She checked herself in the mirror , making sure her hair looked fine. A small smile appeared on her face , knowing she was satisfied. Opening up one of her drawers she took out her favorite strawberry scented lipgloss and applied into to her lips. "Perfect" ,she said. Looking threw her closet she threw out her favorite skirt and of course the top had to look it's best as well or else she'd be a fashion disaster. The clock in the room read halft past nine , and she thought that was the best time to arrive. Lucky her there was so specific time to arrive and she would most likely end up being fashionably late.Running her hands threw her hair , she walked over to her purse picking it up. Rummaging threw it making sure she had her cellphone and car keys , she headed out. The night was warm as she closed the door to her dorm and walked down to the deserted parking lot. "Looks like everybody is out tonight. , she thought as she opened the door dropping her purse in the passenger seat. Doors locked , and seat buckled she checked her rear view mirror and started the car. Backing up slowly , she headed downtown for the biggest party of the year. It was not long before she heard the loud blast of music and the sounds of people yelling. "Just how I expected it." , she said as she handed her car keys to one of the young boys. "Be careful with it. , she said knowing one little scratch on her car was bound to cost her. She made her way into the club , looking around trying to see if she saw someone she noticed , but no one appeared. "Odd" , she said.

Ian walked around the club aimlessly, dressed in a blue shirt, a blue and white jacket and a pair of blue jeans. He hadn't expected to see anyone he knew, but he was here reguardless, just to have fun. Maybe he would spot someone, or find some girl to flirt with.
He continued to walk around, glancing at the people everywhere going wild on the dance floor in every direction. He was ready to sit, seeing as how he was kind of bored. He took a seat one one of the barstools and smirk, beginning to doubt his decision to come here. After a while, he spotted a girl, walking in through the door. 'The girl he ran into', that was his title for her. He gave a short smile, at least it was somebody. He waited for her to walk his way, "Your Allison right?"

It had been about twenty minutes and Allison had not really started dancing yet. A few guys tried to get her to dance , but she refused since they looked wasted beyond belief. Her hands ran threw her hair in frustration as she tried to think of what to do. Sure , there were loads of things to do at a club and she could dance with anyone , but something told her not to. Biting her lip , she walked down a to where some of the bar stools where. "Ello miss." , said one of the nearby bartenders. "Was I even looking at the guy? , she thought as he smirked at her like she was supposed to reply. "Er hello , can I have a ginger ale?" , she asked him as she waited for her order to be complete.
There was no interest in the bartender , he was just another one of those creeps. Her eyes wandered around the room as she tried to find anyone she knew. They stopped as she saw someone that looked like Ian , but she highly doubted it. "No way he is here the same night I am. , she thought as she blew at her bangs. She felt a soft touch on her arm as the bartender handed her , the drink she ordered and she handed him a tip.
The crowd in front of her seemed to be getting bigger and all the body heat seemed to really wear her down. Whole time she was here , she was sitting and she felt like she had been jumping up and down like a crazy animal. Looking over to her right , she turned to face right in front of Ian. "Yes , I am."

Lissa was out with her group, partying up as usual. Tonight, they had decided on Studio 59 and were tearing up the dance floor. Some other RPA students were there, scattered around the room, mingling with others; it was almost as if the strangers were trying to prevent the drama that came along with RPA students by not allowing the cliques to mix. Lissa was working up a sweat on the dancefloor and decided to give herself a breather. She slowly passed through the crowd to the bar- getting sidetracked by some assertive dance partners along the way. Laughing, Lissa took a seat and ordered her usual- Jack and Coke. It was an unwritten law that the bartenders around RPA served alcohol to students- especially to pretty senior girls wearing tiny tank tops, like Lissa was. Sipping on her drink, she noticed another senior, Allison, at the bar. Allison had ordered a Ginger Ale and was talking to the man beside her. Lissa couldn't help herself and spoke: "Allison, you have got to be kidding me, you come to the club and order a Ginger Ale?" Taking a drink after she spoke, Lissa noticed who Allison had been talking to: Ian McIntyre. Lissa had dated Ian briefly, but he had broken up with her for -among other things- drinking too much. Lissa almost choked on her drink and set the glass down quickly. She blushed, but she hoped it wasn't visible in the dimly lit club.

Allison sat down on one of the stools as she looked around trying to spot someone she knew or at least recognized from somewhere. Her eyes searched everywhere , but nothing really came to her view except for the stupid bartender and some random people walking in and out of the room. Gah! "Where is everyone tonight?" , she thought played with the hem of her skirt. Reaching for her bag , she rummaged threw trying to find some hope of her cellphone. "No texts whatsoever." , she said. Looking back over at Ian , he seemed to have quieted down a little bit as the music seemed to burst threw her ears.
Dropping her purse on the cold counter she looked around again hoping maybe the night could go.She gave up as she turned back around accidently bumping into someone. "O , I'm sorry , I did not mean to bum-" , she said before she noticed who it was. "What the hell was she doing here?"

Lissa was still stunned that she made fun of a girl for not drinking in front of a guy who was obviously quite into girls who didn't illegally imbibe. "O , I'm sorry , I did not mean to bum-" Lissa responded uncharacteristically with a nonanswer of a mumble. She wanted to leave, but didn't want to leave the drink she had just ordered at the bar, but she didn't want to drink it. What's a girl to do when her ex catches her being the same old bitch he dumped? Aren't people supposed to better themselves when they get their flaws handed to them on a platter by a bad breakup? Lissa ran a finger through the condensation on her glass and stared at the bar's countertop, trying to come up with something to say or do, which probably confused the pants off of anyone watching. Lissa wasn't usually one to be at a loss for things to say and do.

Ian smirked and nodded hearing her reply, of course she was, he knew exactly who she was. Everytime he saw her he had a flashback about bumping into her, it was sort of embarrassing but he didn't stress it too much. "I think I ran into you one time" he replied as if she didn't remember. He knew her name and they had a couple classes together, but again she was the only person here, or atleast talking to him. Up until Lissa came into the picture.
He turned to Lissa, hearing her fimiliar voice over the blasting music. Ian just sat and watched for a moment, not that he was surprised to see her here. He eyed the drink in her hand, and instanly brought flashbacks of their relationship, hopefully she wasn't drunk. He watched the two in the awkward silence and finally spoke, "You two know eachother?"

Not bothering to look back at Lissa , she turned around and faced Ian. "Yea , walking to class I think?" , she asked. She had not forgotten about her ginger ale , she really needed something to drink or at least keep her cool. All the body heat around her was starting to bug her as random people started to dance. She had not known he was asked to come by one of his friends , but than again whoever it was must of joined the crowd or left. Not knowing what to say she looked back at the crowds of people everywhere. They seemed to be doubling by the second , and suprisingly no one in that crowd she knew.
A curl fell into her face, just in front of her left eye, and she sighed tiredly and blew it away with a puff of air, but it just settled in the same place. With long, glossed fingernails she pressed it back, working it into her hair and praying it wouldn't stick up in the fashion it had before.
He spoke again as she looked back over at Lissa. It was so odd to have her be here just because it gave her chills down her back that made her want to puke. "Yes , or at least somewhat."

Allison and Lissa shared a resentment that was difficult to explain. From day one, Lissa viewed Allison as a stuffy priss and believed that stuffy prissiness was something to be detested. Who knew what went through Allison's head when she looked at Lissa, but judging by the look on her face and in her eyes, it wasn't something very pleasant. The girls had never attempted to move their relationship beyond obligatory school project partnerships and glares across the cafeteria. Lissa looked across Allison at Ian. She spoke at the same time as Allison, "Yeah, sort of." Now more than ever she wanted to make a quick retreat, but, like a deer caught in the headlights, she couldn't pull herself away.

Ian nodded his head, "Yeah" he responded to Allison, still in all the silence. The only thing there was to focus on was the blasting music, Ian could help but smile. It was so awkward that it was funny, he just looked back and forth between the two. It was like one of the moments when you didn't want to be in this situation, but it wasn't like you could do anything about it. He sighed as the smile faded from his face.
He looked from Allison to Lissa, hearing them both reply in unison, "...Right" he replied with a short laugh. "So why did you girls decide to come here" he asked, sparking a conversation trying to end the awkwardness.

Allison looked away from Lissa as she turned to face Ian. He seemed to be the sweetest of the guys she had met for now. Being new still sucked since she did not get to meet much people and the people she did meet were either just hello goodbyes or like Lissa. Looking around , she noticed that a dance off begin as she looked over , but it was nothing special. They looked more like chickens rather than dancers in anyway. Turning her attention from the random dancers , she listened to his question. "I'm still the new girl here , so pretty much wanted a little nights out." , she said as she twisted a piece of her hair between her fingers.
It was true , she had been stuck at home for months before they allowed her to come on campus and when she was finally allowed it seemed like she missed nothing. Most of the students came out at night and she could see why. Everything was so perfect except for the fact that she was spending her night with lissa.

Lissa remembered why she fell for Ian when he tried to make nice conversation with two girls who obviously didn't care too much for each other. But Lissa's enimnity with Allison wasn't as high-profile as her rivalry with Faiqa Ditonno, so it was understandable that Ian didn't think there was anything too unusual about the girls being together. He had even laughed when they spoke at the same time. Guys just must not know that when two girls who don't like each other do something 'funny' like speak at the same time it's best to let it slide. At least he had tried to change the topic of conversation, opening an escape route for Lissa. While Ian's attention was diverted by Allison, Lissa knocked back the rest of her drink. She set the empty glass on the bar and her mouth twisted as the aftertaste of the liquor reached her tongue. She pulled a few crumpled dollars out of her pocket and set them on the bar to pay for her drink. She took a deep breath to clear her mind and stood up to leave. "I was just here with some friends. I should be getting back to them, anyway. I'll see you around, Ian" With a final dirty look at Allison, and an apologetic glance at Ian, Lissa slid back into the crowd.

Ian sat back on his stool, with his arms laid across the bar. It wasn't that he was bored, it was just his relaxed position. He glanced over at Lissa, there was probably tension between her and Allison but Ian wasn't trying to get into the middle of it. And by not getting into the middle of it, he tried to strike up a conversation with two different girls. That was just the kind of guy Ian was, more laid back then most. But for some reason ever time he saw Lissa his stomach turned a little inside, he was more nevous around her then angry. It was never good to see your ex while your with another girl, but that was also the reason they broke up. When Lissa was his girlfriend, she wasn't much of a girlfriend, in all she just wasn't there when it came to actually being his girlfriend. He liked her as a friend, and she was more of a friend when she stayed that way.
He watched Lissa as she responded and nodded in reply, "Okay". He zoned back in, watching Lissa walk away. Ian turned to Allison, "Yeah I can see that. The best way to meet someone is to go to the nearest club." he joked with a smile. "So how long have you been the new girl? he asked.

Allison had no idea what to do next seeing as everything seemed to be going down hill. Lissa did not look like she was enjoying herself at all and to tell you the truth Allison felt the same way. Partying was great when she had it over at her house or maybe that is just because she knew everyone that was invited? Most Def. Her ears felt like they were about to pop from the loud techno music that had just begun to play. She was thinking that she should probably go somewhere else , like maybe the park or the mall?
Maybe she should ask Ian where he would rather go. She did not mind wherever he felt best going. Before she spoke again , Lissa randomly stood up as she drained her drink and headed into the crowd. Odd? Looking back over at Ian , she laughed at his comment. "Well , I met you didn't I." , she said. "Just to get this done and striaght , I'm Allison Everland." , she said as she introduced herself.
It always needed to be said or else they keep calling each other that girl or that guy. Yea , corny but it did happen. "I've been here for not even a week yet."

Ian smirked hearing her comment, it was kind of a good thing Lissa had left because now the triangle of tension had been lifted, she was cute and now he could show off a little more. He looked back to Allison and laughed, "Well yeah, I guess I'm the best your gonna get in this place" he joked again. Now that Lissa was gone Ian could act himself around her, a girl who had barely met. It wasn't like he was distracted when she was around, but it was better to talk with someone one on one. He assumed the two didn't like eachother too much so he knew better then to even ask about what had just happened.
Another smile ran across Ian's face, "I'm Ian McIntyre". He nodded again before speaking, "Wow, it must suck being the new girl. Where are you from?"
